Youtube is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share videos.

Youtube features include: browsing videos based on channel and popularity, rate videos by giving them from 1-5 stars, upload your own videos & create replies to your favorite videos.

How to join Youtube

* Go to the sign up page at www.youtube.com

* Choose a user name and password

* Enter your basic information

* Click the sign up button, and your done!

Browsing Videos

After you create your free account you can search by keyword, browse through 12 categories or check out what's popular that day. If you like a particular video, you can suscribe to that users future videos.

Uploading Videos

* Click "upload video" in the upper right hand corner of the Youtube page, and enter as much information as you want.

* Click "Go upload a file", locate the file on your hard drive, then click "upload video".

Tips

* An uploaded video should be 10 mins or less, and less than 100 mb.

* Youtube does not allow offensive material such as graphic sex and violence. If you upload an offensive video it will be quickly flagged and taken down.

* It is possible to make your videos avaliable to a small group of friends, family, etc. Choose between "Private" or "Public" when you first upload your video. After uploading your video you can click "Edit Video Info", scroll down to the broadcast section and select "Private"
